Detroit police are seeking tips from the public to locate a 14-year-old girl missing for three weeks.

Relatives last saw Alexis Sanders about 11 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 10000 block of Stratman on the city’s northeast side, police said in a statement Tuesday.

The teen “left out of her bedroom window without telling anyone,” police said. “Alexis is a habitual runaway but has never been gone this long.”

Authorities described her as an African-American standing about 5-foot-1 and weighing 107 pounds, with a medium-brown complexion, brown eyes and brown hair styled in a bob.

The youth, who police said was in good physical and mental condition, was last seen wearing a gray and black shirt, gray jogging pants and gray UGG boots.

Anyone who knows her whereabouts is asked to call Detroit police at (313) 596-5940 or (313) 596-1616.
