Detroit police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a third person involved in a home invasion last week.

According to police, an 86-year-old woman was asleep Feb. 9 in her home on Longfellow near Woodward when three males entered, began ransacking her home and assaulted her. The trio took some items and fled, police said.

Two people were arrested Thursday, according to police. Charges against them include home invasion, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and felon in possession.

The third male still at large is described as having a medium brown complexion, 15 to 21 years old, 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing a hooded shirt with a brown vest and blue jeans, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit police at (313) 596-1040 or Crimestoppers at (800) SPEAK-UP.
