Girl, 10, shot on Detroit’s west side

Detroit — A 10-year-old girl was shot Saturday by a stray bullet on city’s west side, according to police.

According to Local 4 WDIV-TVthe shooting on the 16000 block of Mark Twain Street is the result of a hit-and-run accident that turned into a road rage incident.

Police said two vehicles were involved in an accident. The driver of the vehicle with the 10-year-old girlfollowed the other driver to a home where the second driver ran inside and opened fire.

The girl is in critical condition at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.

Police are searching for a white Jeep involved in the shooting.
