Tips sought to find woman reported missing in Detroit

The Detroit News

Detroit police are seeking the public’s help to find a 56-year-old woman who went missing Tuesday from an east-side medical clinic.

A relative last saw Sheila Hines in the medical pavilion on the 7600 block of East Jefferson about 12:42 p.m., police said.

Hines left the location as her relative was getting her medication at the pharmacy in the same building, police said.

She is described as African-American, 5-foot-7, 180 pounds, with a light-brown complexion. Hines was last seen wearing a brown jacket, black pants and fur-covered brown boots.

Police said Hines has schizophrenia and has had strokes as well as a tracheotomy from throat cancer.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department Criminal Investigative Unit at (313) 596-1140.
