Three teens still sought in weekend Detroit shooting
Three teens suspected in a weekend shooting that injured a man on the city’s southwest side were still being sought by police on Monday.
Initial media reports said there was a dispute over Air Jordan shoes, however, police said Monday they could not confirm a motive for the shooting.
“Investigators are trying to speak with the victim,” said Detroit Police Officer Dan Donakowski.
The shooting occurred around 4:45 p.m. Saturday on Elmer Street. The 23-year-old victim came outside, the suspect fired shots and fled the location, Donakowski said.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition Monday.
Each suspect is described to be in their early teens.
The first suspect is described as 5-foot-8 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing an orange sweater with a hood, police said.
The second suspect is 5-foot-8 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black and gray jacket.
The third suspect has a medium build and long wavy, bushy hair.
