Two teens shot near church, gas station in Detroit

Police are investigating the shooting of two teens Wednesday on Detroit’s west side.

The afternnon shooting on West Grand and Grand River allegedly stemmed from an altercation on Tuesday, said Detroit Police Officer Jennifer Moreno.

A suspect allegedly fired shots a 17-year-old girl who was standing outside of a church and then went across the street to the Mobil gas station and shot a 16-year-old boy, Moreno said.

Both victims were taken to a hospital. The girl is in stable condition, according to police. The condition of the boy was unknown as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police said they have not arrested any suspects in the case.
