Two sought in armed robbery of barbershop

An armed robbery occurred March 16 on the 10500 block of W. Chicago.

Detroit — Police are searching for two men wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place March 16 at a barbershop on the city's west side.

Authorities say the pair entered the barbershop in the 10500 block of West Chicago, robbed a 31-year-old man of his cellphone and house and car keys and then pistol-whipped him. Another victim, described as a 29-year-old man, escaped while one of the suspects fired a shot at him, police say. That victim was not injured.

The two suspects left the scene in a small blue vehicle and drove away, police say. The victim who was robbed suffered minor injuries.

One suspect is described as in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds and wearing all black including black gym shoes. The other suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, 6 feet one inch tall, weighing 150 pounds and wearing all black and white gym shoes.
