One child was critically injured Monday morning in a crash on northbound Interstate 75 near Junction, police said.

Around 10:40 a.m. three vehicles were involved in a non-injury crash, said Lt. Mike Shaw of the Michigan State Police. Shortly after, a vehicle struck one of the vehicles involved in that crash.

One child was hurt and taken to the hospital with critical injuries, Shaw said. There were no other injuries.

All northbound lanes were closed for nearly four hours and have reopened.
