Police seek suspects in Detroit dollar store burglary

Detroit police are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating three men who were caught on camera last week taking goods from a dollar store on Detroit’s west side.

Anyone with information on the incident is requested to Detective Tracey Tigner of the 6th Precinct Detective Unit at (313) 596-5650. Those who prefer anonymity can call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 800-SPEAK UP.

The incident took place April 8, about 1 a.m., at a dollar store on the 19400 block of West Warren. Two male suspects forced entry through the store’s front door, while a third man served as a lookout, police say.

The men, police say, “removed several electronics and other miscellaneous merchandise” before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Video of the alleged burglary shows two men enter the store, go off camera briefly, then return with what appears to be three LG television sets. The men were able to get two of the TVs outside the business’s front door, but appear to leave the third behind.

Anyone with information on the incident is requested to Detective Tracey Tigner of the 6th Precinct Detective Unit at (313) 596-5650. Those who prefer anonymity can call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 800-SPEAK UP.
