Gunman arrested at Jefferson North plant in Detroit

Detroit — Police say a man with a gun was subdued by others Saturday at the Jefferson North Assembly plant on the near east side.

No shots were fired Saturday. Police Chief James Craig tells radio station WWJ that the man is a former employee whose companion works at the E. Jefferson Avenue factory.

Craig says the armed man was detained by union stewards until officers arrested him. He calls it a “great” outcome.
