Detroit police are seeking the public’s help to find a man who may have information related to a west side shooting in March that hurt a bystander.

A 23-year-old was near a business in the 15900 block of West Seven Mile about 1:30 a.m. March 27 when an unknown man opened fire outside, investigators have said.

Video footage recovered from the scene showed a hooded man stepping from a four-door silver car with three men inside, firing several gunshots, and then running back.

The victim, who was hospitalized with a non-fatal gunshot wound, had been “leaving the store when an altercation occurred between two other parties,” authorities said in a statement.

Police on Friday released video and a photo of another man nearby that night who might have tips about the incident.

Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call Detroit Police 8th Precinct Detectives at (313) 596-5851 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
