Navy personnel robbed in Detroit on Memorial Day
Four people are in custody for allegedly robbing a group of active duty Navy personnel on Memorial Day in Detroit.
Detroit Police Officer Jennifer Moreno said four people, including three on active military duty, were robbed at 12:20 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Santa Maria Street and Meyers on the city’s west side.
Moreno said four male suspects were being held, and that the ages of three of them are 21, 20 and 17. Police don’t have the age of the fourth suspect, Moreno added, because “he isn’t cooperating, he’s a John Doe.”
No additional information was immediately available.
