A 28-year-old man was fatally shot inside his car on Detroit’s east side Thursday morning, Detroit police said.
The man was sitting at a stoplight in his white Cadillac on Chalmers near Harper at 8:30 a.m., when a black Chrysler Sebring with a female driver and a male passenger pulled alongside.
The man exited the Sebring and fired a gun, hitting the victim in the body, police said. He re-entered the Sebring before the woman drove away northbound on Chalmers.
The victim tried to drive his car, but crashed it into a building on the 9100 block of Hayes. He died from his injuries, Officer Jennifer Moreno said.
