Homeland Security Investigations, the investigative arm of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), made no arrests Tuesday as a result of executed search warrants on eight Detroit-area gas stations, said Khaalid Walls, spokesman for ICE.

The searches were completed by Tuesday afternoon without incident, Walls said.

“We’re in the very early stages of the investigation,” he said.

The warrants were executed at four gas stations in Detroit as well as locations in Warren, Ypsilanti, Pontiac and Riverview.

Walls said he could not provide any information regarding the warrants as they are for federal “ongoing criminal investigations” and are under seal.
