Gregory Walker, the 45-year-old Detroit man suspected in the May 31 abduction and subsequent homicide of 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell, has been extradited to Michigan and is in Wayne County Circuit Court on a probation violation Wednesday, a court official confirmed.

Walker’s hearing is in Judge Thomas Cameron’s courtroom. The hearing is ongoing, so no information on the result is immediately available, the court official said.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said arraignments in the Mitchell case are not expected today.
