Detroit police search for suspect in fatal hit-and-run
Detroit police are searching for a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run on the city’s west side early Friday morning.
According to police, a motorist traveling south on Telegraph struck a male bicyclist, 56, who was attempting to cross the road at its intersection at McNichols at about 1:30 a.m.
After striking the bicyclist, the vehicle, which is described as a black or gray older-model Cadillac, continued traveling southbound on Telegraph, said Shanelle Williams of the Detroit Police Department.
The victim is now deceased, according to police.
Traffic at the intersection of Telegraph and McNichols has returned to normal, police said.
