Detroit — Detroit police are investigating an apparent drive-by that left three people injured Wednesday afternoon on the city’s east side.

Police said three men in their 20s were shot when an older model red Grand Prix pulled up to a house in the 19000 block of Packard, just south of E. Outer Drive and a suspect unloaded multiple rounds of gunfire.

Two of the men are in critical condition and the other is in stable condition at a hospital.

“It’s just a very unfortunate situation,” said Deputy Police Chief Renee Hall.

Hall said the male suspect being sought wore a ski mask, white shirt, and tennis shoes. The Grand Prix has Ohio license plates.

At the scene, a black Pontiac was cordoned off with police tape and police said witnesses told them the car pulled up to the house after the Grand Prix left.

“We cannot solve these crimes by ourselves,” said Hall, who urged the community to help police in solving the crime.
