Detroit — Volunteers from the FBI Detroit field office will participate in a youth baseball skills event at Comerica Park.

Willie Horton’s 15th Annual Batting for Kids Baseball Challenge starts Tuesday morning. The FBI is partnering with Don Bosco Hall, a Detroit-based outreach organization.

More than 400 youth between the ages of five and 15 will participate in base running, batting and throwing competitions.

Horton spent 14 seasons with the Tigers and helped the team win the 1968 World Series. The Tigers retired his No. 23, and a statue of his likeness stands at Comerica Park.
