Police are seeking information after a hair-supply storefront on Detroit’s west side was damaged and the store was burglarized early Wednesday morning, police say.

The alleged theft happened at about 4:10 a.m. at AR Virgin Hair, on the 18900 block of Telegraph, south of Seven Mile.

Police say a vehicle rammed through the front door of the store. The suspect or suspects got out, rummaged through the store, stole “an undisclosed amount” of weaves, and left in an unknown direction, said Officer Nicole Kirkwood of the Detroit Police Department.

There may be video of the incident, Kirkwood said, but police don’t have it yet. The storefront, which is part of a strip mall, has substantial damage.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 800-SPEAK-UP or the 8th precinct’s investigative unit at 313-596-5840.
