Two shot outside Marathon gas station after fight

The Detroit News

Police are looking for a suspect they say shot two men at a gas station on the Detroit’s northwest side early Friday morning.

A fight broke out around 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Marathon at 23600 Grand River when the suspect fired multiple shots into the crowd.

A 32-year-old male was shot in the leg and a 28-year-old man was struck in the back of the head. Both were taken to a hospital and are in temporary serious condition, according to a police department press release.

Police on Saturday released a video and surveillance camera screen grab of the suspect. The 15 minute video shows the suspect and events outside the station, but appears to end before the shooting.

The suspect is between 18 years old and 24 years old. He has a slim build, an afro and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and grey sweatpants and was driving a white Dodge Challenger with a red racing stripe.

Anyone with should contact the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-1616 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
