Two 26-year-old men were shot at a gas station — one fatally — late Sunday night on Detroit’s west side, police confirmed.
The double shooting took place about 11:33 p.m. at the Marathon gas station on the 18100 block of West Warren, and left one man dead on the scene.
The two victims were in a silver Dodge Ram when a black Cadillac pulled into the gas station. An argument ensued. Someone inside the Escalade fired shots into the victim’s vehicle, hitting both men. Then the Escalade fled the scene.
One of the men was killed in the shooting; the surviving victim was in temporary serious condition at last report, said Sgt. Michael Woody of the Detroit Police Department.
Police give a partial plate for the black Escalade as DME 9.
