Detroit police are seeking tips from the public to find someone they say shot a 48-year-old man after an argument at a store on the city’s west side.

The alleged shooter and victim sparred at the business near Hartwell and Schoolcraft at about midnight July 12, authorities said in a statement Tuesday. After the older man left, “the armed suspect followed the victim and shot him multiple times,” police said.

The 48-year-old was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators this week released surveillance images of the man they describe as a suspect.

Authorities said the man, who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt emblazoned with an eagle and dark pants, should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who recognizes him or has information is asked to call Detroit Police 2nd Precinct Detectives at (313) 596-5240. Anonymous tips can also be left through the DPD Connect app or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
