Man shot dead on west side; no suspect description

A 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting on Detroit’s west side Wednesday night, police said.

The man was found dead, injured by gunshot wounds, about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 4100 block of Wabash, which is between 14th Street to the west and Rosa Parks Boulevard, the former 12th Street, to the east.

Police don’t yet know the circumstances behind the shooting or have any suspect description at this time, said Officer Nicole Kirkwood of the Detroit Police Department.
