Detroit police are investigating a Friday evening shooting on the city’s west side that wounded two men.

Investigators learned the pair had been shot while in a Chevrolet Suburban near the 13900 block of Grandville at about 8:15 p.m., said Officer Nicole Kirkwood, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.

An acquaintance rushed to the scene and drove both men to a hospital, she said. The victims, identified as ages 30 and 32, were both listed in critical condition Friday night.

A description of a shooter was not available.
