Man sought in Detroit stabbing, home invasion

Detroit police are seeking tips to find a man accused of a stabbing and home invasion on the city’s north end that injured two people Monday.

Investigators allege the suspect whom they identified as Michael Witcher broke into a 25-year-old female’s home, stabbed her and a 73-year-old male in the 300 block of Holbrook at about 2:55 a.m. Monday.

The 73-year-old man was critically injured in the attack, according to authorities. The woman had injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Witcher is described as African-American, 24 years old, 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds.

He “is to be considered armed and dangerous.”
