Man, 55, dies after being shot in vehicle on east side

A 55-year-old Detroit man is dead after being shot in a vehicle near his east side home, police said.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
The man was found shot on the 8200 block of Edgewood — which is east of Van Dyke and north of Harper — inside a burgundy Ford Expedition.
He was transported to a local hospital, but died from his injuries. The man lives on the block, said Officer Nicole Kirkwood of the Detroit Police Department.
At this point, there is no suspect description, Kirkwood said.
