Police: Friend finds man dead, foaming at mouth

Detroit police are looking for answers after a 48-year-old man was found dead in a home on the west side Sunday evening.

When the man’s friend, a 20-year-old woman, arrived at his home on the 400 block of Fernhill — west of John R and south of West State Fair — Sunday night just before 8:48 p.m., she found him face up on his living room floor, foaming at the mouth, according to police. Rigor mortis had already set in.

In the early stages, police consider the man’s death a possible drug overdose.
