Detroit police seek help finding 11-year-old boy

Detroit police are asking for the public’s help finding a 11-year-old boy missing since earlier this month.

James Frierson was last seen on Aug. 7 with his mother, Jheri Frierson, 30, a non-custodial parent, according to police. Jheri Frierson has not complied with court orders and there is an active warrant against her.

Police said they do not believe James is in danger.

James is described as a black male with a medium complexion, dark brown eyes and reddish brown hair. He has a dimple in his right cheek. He is 5 feet tall and 115 pounds. James has no physical or mental disabilities, police said.
