Detroit woman arraigned in knifing death of boyfriend

A 56-year-old Detroit woman was charged Thursday in the fatal stabbing of her live-in boyfriend after a party.

The woman, Ollie Jenell Holmes-Suber is accused of stabbing Larry Johnson, 55, with a knife during an argument at a home in the 5600 block of Casmere near Mount Elliott in Detroit on Tuesday following her birthday celebration. She has been charged with second-degree murder.

She was arraigned before 36th District Court Magistrate Bari Blake Wood. Holmes-Suber is scheduled for a probable cause conference at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 9 before 36th District Court Judge Shannon Holmes. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 16, also before Holmes.
