3 suspects sought in break-in at Detroit store

Investigators on Friday released surveillance footage of a trio wanted in a burglary last week of an east side liquor store that police say netted the crooks thousands in alcohol and cigarettes.

The newly released footage provided by Detroit police shows two of the suspects approaching the store on the 15900 block of East Warren at about 2 a.m. Aug. 25. Both males appear to cover their faces with T-shirts.

After breaking into the area near the counter of the closed store, they’re filmed rushing in while wearing hooded pullovers and toting a pair of trash cans.

A female suspect wearing a cloth over her head “then appears with a garbage bag and proceeds to fill it with items,” police said in a statement.

Another clip investigators released shows the two men dragging the containers, crammed with merchandise, through the door and toward an exit.

“Thousands of dollars in top shelf liquor was stolen, as well as a large amount of cigarettes,” police said.
