Homicide detectives are investigating a broad-daylight shooting that left a 30-year-old man dead on Detroit’s east side.

The shooting took place at about 3 p.m. Saturday on the 10100 block of Cadieux, which is north of Interstate 94 and west of Morang.

The victim, 30, had exited his vehicle and was walking to the door of the home when the suspect approached on foot and ordered him to raise his hands.

He did, but was shot anyway. EMS transported him to a hospital, but the man was declared dead on arrival, said officer Shanelle Williams.

Whether or not anything was taken from the victim was unknown.
