Detroiter shot and killed at east side auto body shop

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 60-year-old man Wednesday at an auto repair shop on the city’s east side.

Officers were called around 2:30 p.m. to the business in the 14000 block of Mack, police said. They found the victim suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the body.

No other injuries were reported.

The suspects were then seen escaping in a white Chevy Impala driven by a male, police said in a statement.

Investigators released images of the suspects Wednesday night.

One is described as a heavy set African-American male, 50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He was last wearing all black clothing, and a black baseball cap with green lettering.

The second suspect is described as a African-American male, 50 years old, last seen wearing all black clothing.
