Police seek suspect involved in 2 Detroit crashes
Detroit police are searching for the suspect who struck two vehicles near the corner of Seven Mile and Ryan early Friday and then fled the scene on foot.
Authorities say one person was hospitalized in the crashes, which took place at about 2:20 a.m.
Someone driving a white GMC Yukon was traveling westbound against traffic on Seven Mile at a high rate of speed when the vehicle struck a blue Ford Focus that was attempting to turn left on Seven Mile from Ryan, police say.
The Yukon then struck a black GMC Terrain that had two occupants.
The people in the GMC Terrain were not injured, authorities say.
However, the sole passenger in the Ford Focus was extracted from the vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
The suspect in the Yukon fled the scene in an unknown direction.
