A 20-year-old man was fatally shot on Detroit’s west side Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The victim was seen running westbound on Trojan toward Glastonbury — west of the Southfield Freeway, south of West Eight Mile — and eventually wound up in a backyard on the 20000 block of Glastonbury at about 5:25 p.m.

There, Officer Jennifer Moreno said, the man was shot twice. Someone privately conveyed the man to Sinai-Grace Hospital, but he died from his injuries.
