Detroit police are working to find two people wanted in connection to a shooting on the city’s west side that left a 26-year-old man dead.

Video footage shows the suspect wearing a gray-and-black hooded jacket

An armed suspect approached the victim as he stood outside a business in the 20000 block of West Warren at about 9:50 p.m. Monday, investigators said.

Video footage released by authorities Tuesday shows the man wearing a gray-and-black hooded jacket rushing behind the 26-year-old. After that, police said in a statement, the armed suspect “fired one shot, killing the victim.”

The suspect then fled on foot toward Vaughan, officials said.

Police are seeking tips to find him and another person seen nearby wearing the black hooded sweatshirt and a mask.

Anyone who recognizes them, knows their whereabouts or has any information is asked to call Detroit Police Department Homicide at (313) 596-2260 or (313) 596-1616. Anonymous tips can be submitted through the DPD Connect app or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
