A 32-year-old man died Sunday afternoon in Detroit after being ejected from his vehicle during a one-car crash, Michigan State Police said.

The fatal crash took place on westbound Interstate 96 and Davison about 12:50 p.m. Sunday.

State troopers arrived to find the man without a pulse. They administered CPR until EMS could arrive to take the man to Sinai Grace hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

In the preliminary stages of the investigation, police believe that the Detroit man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was driving too fast and lost control of his vehicle before driving up an embankment and rolling several times.

It was during the rollover that the man was tossed from the vehicle, police say.
