Detroit police seek to identify pair suspected in arson
Detroit police are hoping that surveillance video and photos released Wednesday will help identify a man and woman wanted in connection with an arson of a home on the city’s west side.

According to police, around 12:30 p.m. Oct. 25, two suspects entered the backyard of a home in the 18400 block of Roselawn.
“Once inside of the backyard, the male suspect removed the air conditioning unit from the window while the female suspect poured gasoline inside of the home,” police wrote in a release Wednesday.
During the alleged act, a neighbor yelled out to the suspects and they fled, police said.
Twenty minutes later, the suspects returned and threw a lit piece of paper through the window, which ignited the gasoline.
No one was home at the time of the incident, police said. No injuries were reported.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the arson tip line at (313) 628-2900. There could be up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
