Detroit — A 16-year-old Detroit resident, shot by his uncle on Friday, has died, according to city police.

Investigators continue to seek the victim’s uncle, James Graham. The two reportedly had an argument at about 4 p.m. outside a home in the 9000 block of Ward. At that time on Friday, “... the uncle/suspect produced a weapon and fired a shot, striking the victim in the body,” investigators said in a statement.

The man escaped in a powder blue Chevrolet pickup, believed to have a Michigan license plate number that partly reads 1317, according to the release.

His nephew was in critical condition Friday evening at a hospital, but died Saturday evening.

To generate tips, authorities released a photo of Graham. He is described as 48-years-old, African-American, 5-foot-9 inches and 198 pounds.
