1 dead, 1 stabbed after argument at east side party
One man is dead and another was left in critical condition after violence followed an argument at a party early Sunday morning on Detroit’s east side.
The violence occurred on the 11900 block of Laing — southeast of Kelly, and between Whittier and Morang — and police responded at about 3 a.m.
By the time police arrived, a man “in his 30s” was already dead and another man, 39, had been stabbed.
Police say the two men were involved in an argument during a party that spilled over into the early morning Sunday. At some point, a third man got involved — a man police have no details regarding — and by the end of it, a man had been killed and another stabbed. Police aren’t sure exactly who that third man is or his role in the altercation, said Kenyetta Hebron, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.
The stabbing victim was in critical condition at last report.
