Detroit homicide detectives are investigating after a barbershop employee was found shot dead Sunday afternoon at the west side barbershop where he worked.

The victim, a 42-year-old male, was found in a barber chair, shot fatally, at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, said Kenyetta Hebron, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.

While police know that the man worked at the shop on the 19500 block of West Seven Mile — just east of Evergreen — Hebron didn’t know how the man was discovered, and police don’t have any information on the suspect at this time.
