Detroit police seek man in CVS armed robbery
Detroit police have released images of a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a CVS Pharmacy on the city’s east side this month.
The suspect left a bus on Dec. 7, followed a worker into the store in the 19900 block of Van Dyke at about 8:05 a.m., then “pointed a gun at her as well as another employee,” investigators said in a statement.
He stole a large amount of money then fled, according to the release.
To generate tips in the case, authorities this week released surveillance images of the man captured while he rode the bus.
Anyone who recognizes him or has information on the robbery is asked to call Detroit police at (313) 596-1140. Anonymous tips also can be submitted through Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
