Driver plows into home in Detroit
A driver lost control of his vehicle Monday, hit a curb then went airborne into the front window of a house on Detroit’s east side, police said.
Four passengers were in the car when it struck a house located in the 15000 block of Collingham, according to Nicole Kirkwood, Detroit Police Department spokeswoman. The passengers included a 28- year-old woman, 2-year-old male, 8-year-old female and a 6-year-old male.
The crash took place about 1:15 p.m.
No one sustained any major injuries. The 28-year-old female, who is pregnant, was hospitalized and in stable condition at last report.
There were no injuries to anyone inside of the home, but the property sustained major damage, police said.
Police said citations will be issued to the driver, but do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor.
