A 49-year-old Detroit woman is dead after being partially ejected from her rolled-over vehicle on Interstate 96 late Wednesday night, Michigan State Police said.
The woman’s vehicle rolled over about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday while traveling on the eastbound I-96 ramp to Davison, police said.
Troopers arrived to find the woman “lying between the pavement and the vehicle,” and she was pronounced dead on the scene of the single-vehicle crash.
State police say the woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was “partially ejected” from the vehicle. Police say she’d been driving too fast, lost control, and hit a wall, which caused the rollover.
State police are working to notify the woman’s next of kin, and are investigating the crash.
