Triple shooting in Detroit leaves 1 dead

One man is dead and two others were hospitalized in a shooting inside a home in the 20000 block of Derby near State Fair late Sunday, according to Detroit police

The person who died was not identified by police. He , had a gunshot wound to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene in the 10 p.m. shooting, said DPS spokeswoman Jennifer Moreno.

The second unidentified victim, was critically shot and transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital. The third victim, 26, was shot twice in the left buttocks. He was hospitalized; his condition was pending, according to Moreno.

She identified the suspect as a black male.

“The shooter entered the location. The suspect then fired, shooting as many as three males at this time. The shooter then exited the location. It is unclear if he escaped on foot or in a vehicle,” Moreno said.
