Man shot trying to break up house party fight

A 27-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot early Sunday morning when he tried to break up a fight on Detroit’s west side, police said.
The man was attending a party on the 30 block of West Greendale — south of West Seven Mile, west of John R. — when around 3:30 a.m.he tried to break up a fight.
Then, said Officer Dan Donakowski, a Detroit police spokesman, the man “heard shots and felt pain.” He’d been hit.
The man was privately taken to an a hospital, where police met him and opened their investigation into the shooting.
