A 23-year-old man is in temporary serious condition after being shot in his hand as he sat in his car late Sunday night, Detroit police said.

The man was sitting in a parked car about 11:05 p.m. Sunday in a driveway on the 9000 block of Beaconsfield, which is north of Interstate 94 and east of East Outer Drive.

A 29-year-old man was stabbed nine times Sunday after he declined to commit to a relationship with his alleged attacker, Roseville police said.

Police say suspects approached the man on foot, then fired a shot through his driver’s-side window, which hit the victim in his hand.

The victim was able to drive himself to an area hospital, where police found him and started their investigation. He was in temporary serious condition at last report, said Sgt. Adam Madera, a Detroit police spokesman.
