2 sought in Detroit gas station clerk slaying
Detroit police are seeking tips from the public to find two suspects connected to the slaying of a gas station clerk this month on the city’s east side.
The 37-year-old employee was working at the business in the 1900 block of East Six Mile at about 4 a.m. Jan. 10 when two armed males “entered the location, shot and robbed the victim,” investigators said in a statement Thursday.
The worker was fatally wounded, police reported. Meanwhile, the two were captured on surveillance video rummaging through the register and taking merchandise.
After taking money and goods, the pair allegedly set the store on fire; the clerk later was found dead inside, officials said.
Authorities have released images of the suspects, who are considered armed and dangerous, to spark tips.
