Woman killed in hit-and-run on west side
Detroit police are on the lookout for a black, two-door Dodge Challenger believed to be party in a pedestrian’s hit-and-run death on the city’s west side early Saturday morning.
The victim, a woman believed to be in her 50s, was walking in the area of West Seven Mile and Rutherford at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle struck her, police said.
Medics conveyed the woman to an area hospital, but she was dead on arrival.
The Challenger, police say, was last seen heading westbound on Seven Mile. Police are investigating.
