It was about 10:15 p.m. when the man was headed southbound on Hubbell, toward Grand River, driving a white F-150.

The man heard gunshots, said Detroit Police Department spokeswoman Kenyetta Hebron, then noticed that he himself had been hit multiple times.

The man was able to drive himself to an area hospital, but hours later his condition remained unknown, Hebron said.
