3 suspects sought in 2 break-ins at Detroit businesses

Detroit police are working to find suspects accused of breaking into two city businesses this month.

A man climbed through a front window at the Vergote’s Poultry & Fish Market in the 16500 block of Harper about 3:45 a.m. Feb. 14.

A man climbed through a front window at the Vergote’s Poultry & Fish Market in the 16500 block of Harper about 3:45 a.m. Feb. 14, then stole money as well as several food items, investigators said in a statement.

Surveillance footage released Wednesday shows the suspect emptying a cash register before climbing back out the window with a bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Fifth Precinct Investigative Unit at (313) 596-5540. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the DPD Connect app.

Authorities also seek help from the public to find two people wanted in connection with stealing from the Mega Liquor Party Store.

The pair forced their way inside the business in the 17000 block of West McNichols then took several items, police said Wednesday.

Security cameras captured both suspects during the theft.
